Team Mongoose is an elite group of hand selected members. Mongoose has gone out and brought in the best drivers, fabricators, painters welders and customer service representatives to ensure you recieve the best product and experience. The highest level of work and craftsmanship goes into these vehicles, it is important we have the right people doing it.

Gary Krause Jr. - Operations Manager

Leading the Mongoose team is Gary Krause Jr., with a reputation for hard work, strong business ethics and expertise in building and restoring American classics. Gary is involved with virtually every aspect of Mongoose from answering the phones to fine tuning the mean 502s. Gary grew up around race cars, classics, and musclecars. He learned early on that attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship are key. Gary has built award winning vehicles at almost every level on the street and strip, he has also been featured in Kitcar Magazine on several occasions for his work on the Grandsports and GTPs. Gary has made Mongoose a leader in Grand Sport replicas by utilizing the latest innovations and technology, not to mention the hard work and professional attention that goes into every vehicle.

Steve Ray - Production Manager

Steve's passion for custom cars started as a child while working with his father who was a custom car builder. Steve raced cars from the Bonneville Salt Flats to Daytona. His enthusiasm for cars is quite evident as he installs components, wires the vehicles, and assembles the cars from the ground up. Steve is known for saying "There is nothing like the smell of race fuel in the morning." His vast experience and knowledge about cars bring quite a bit to the table at Mongoose.

jim Sjostrom - Composite Specialist

Jim brings over thirty years experience in composites to Mongoose. Corvettes are in Jim's blood, his father was an engineer for Morrison Molded fabricators. The Morrison company, out of Ashtabula, Ohio, was the company that built the first fiberglass bodies for the Corvette, Jim's father even helped design the bodies of those first cars. With his experience in composites, he brings unparalleled automobile fiberglass knowledge to Mongoose. Jim is our mold and body builder, and responsible for laying out the body of your car.

Oscar "Bud" Richie - Fabricator

Bud has been involved in fabricating cars for many years. It is reported that he owns close to twenty cars that he has built himself. He claims to be more excited about building the cars than driving them! It is Bud;s fabricating that has many customers at awe ove the "fantastic" welds on our chassis. Many visitors at the shop have commneted that a good weld speaks volumes about a car, his skills are unparallelled.

Aaron Quine - Team Driver

Aaron Quine is one of the talented drivers for Mongoose Motorsports. He has been racing for 20 years in Corvettes in NCCC, NASA and SCCA. In 2007 Aaron began SCCA T1 racing in a 2003 Z06 and had 9 Starts, 9 Poles, 9 Wins and 3 track records. He won SCCA Rookie of the year and the T1 championship for NeOhio. He dominated the Kit Car Run N Gun 4 times in 1996, 2002, 2007 and 2008 in the Mongoose GS and GTP cars. Aaron was 1st in Vintage American and 2nd OVERALL in the 2002 One Lap Of America (Cannonball Run) in our Mongoose GS Replica against some of the fastest cars and drivers in the USA. Aaron will drive the GTP Replica in the 2009 One Lap and hope for a strong overall finish. He has been in numerous Corvette magazines, has had TV coverage and is well known in the Corvette industry as a racer and a professional instructor. We are glad to have Aaron on our team and look forward to many years of successful racing with him.
